nowBuzz up! FLORENCE --

Strikers Motorcycle Club braved the cold Saturday morning for a ride to raise money for the Pee Boys and Girls Club.

Starting at S.C. Telco Credit Union, they rode about 50 miles passing through Darlington and ending at the Pee Dee Boys and Girls Club where they presented a check to director of operations Decar Brown.

“We felt like the organization was well deserving of us and we felt like we just wanted to do something for the holidays for needy ones,” Florence chapter president Gary Merrill said.

Merrill said he hopes they can hold the event annually and looks forward to doing more in the Pee Dee Area.

Strikers Motorcycle Club was founded in 1974 in Atlanta Ga., and have 10 active chapters. Six chapters are in Georgia, while the other four are in Florence, Dillon, Bishopville and Loris.
